“The Clouds are Heavy” the Voice said to me
I awoke early this morning, September 6, about 3:30 AM, with our alarm set to go off at 5:30 AM. Seeing that I had two more hours to sleep, I laid my head back down on the pillow, closed my eyes and attempted to fall back to sleep. As we all experience in those quiet dark hours of the night, my thoughts wandered through the many cares of daily life, yesterday’s, today’s, tomorrow’s; so I tried to quiet my mind so I could fall back to sleep; but to no avail.
Sometime during that two-hours of tossing and turning in bed, out of nowhere I heard an older male voice say, “The clouds are heavy.”
I believe this was a message from God to me; and as a pastor, what God says to me He means for me to share with the world.
So I say to you, God says, “The clouds are heavy!”
The meaning is simple. This is clearly a reference to rain clouds. Rain clouds refer to a storm. We can all sense the storm clouds on the horizon: A Political Storm; Economic Storm; a Storm of Social Upheaval; a Storm of God’s Righteous Judgment, Correction, Justice upon Man’s growing Sin, Rebellion and Unbelief.
God saying that “The clouds are Heavy” is God saying that the Storm has been building and its release of the deluge is drawing near.
The Holy Scripture in God’s Holy Bible that came to my mind is the reference to Noah in the Book of Hebrews:
Hebrews 11:7 (KJV)
7By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
Like Noah, may we too, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, be moved with fear (reverent fear of God’s Holiness causing us to place our Faith in Him to Save us) and do our part by preparing a plan of refuge and safety for the saving of our house!
